Cabanadodo

Created for ibis Styles Hotels to enhance family travel experiences, Cabanadodo offers a thoughtful solution for creating private, comforting spaces where young children can sleep, play, and feel secure in shared rooms. Developed to balance functionality with child safety, Cabanadodo transforms any bed into a cozy, enclosed retreat suitable for both hotel stays and at-home use, turning ordinary spaces into areas that invite rest and imaginative play.

This versatile design combines soft yet durable panels, crafted with an inner material commonly used in art preservation, to ensure robust stability and shock-resistance, protecting children while they explore their surroundings. Integrated magnets secure the modular panels, allowing for effortless setup and reliable structure. When not in use, the foldable construction allows it to be easily stowed under a bed.

My role encompassed the full scope of design, from conceptual planning to technical execution, ensuring Cabanadodo’s aesthetic appeal matched its functionality. The panels’ glowing night-sky print creates a calming ambiance, encouraging children to craft their own imaginative spaces.

Awarded first place in the Design Moi un Objet competition, Cabanadodo was showcased at Paris Design Week and later featured in ELLE Décoration, praised for its innovative approach to family-oriented design, combining practical elegance with adaptability for both travel and home use.
